YOHOO MUSEUM
AEDAS
Inspired by jade stone, a symbol of preciousness and tradition, the Yohoo Museum in Hangzhou, China, translates this essence into two interlaced rings that connect Liangzhu culture to the Grand Canal. The architectural project was designed by Aedas office.
With a dynamic and fluid structure, its edges seem to defy gravity, rising gently from the ground. At the center, a circular light well reinforces the connection between sky and earth.
The facade combines vertical and horizontal frames, creating a natural curvature. On the south side, the main entrance shines with translucent "emerald glass," while on the north, crystalline panels reveal panoramic views of the exhibition and office spaces.
Elevated above the lake, the museum integrates with the landscape, creating open plazas and interactive spaces for leisure and contemplation. Its undulating roof reflects light uniquely, transforming according to the viewing angle.
