Located in the Binhai district on the eastern coast of Tianjin, the Shimao-The Wave Museum, designed by Lacime Architects, emerges as an icon where sea, land, and sky converge.

Inspired by the movement of waves, the building evokes the fluidity of water, creating an organic dialogue with the surrounding landscape.

The structure floats above the shoreline, connected to the beach and the horizon. Its parametric design, composed of over 13,000 aluminum panels, reflects sunlight from different angles, creating a dynamic and immersive effect.

Inside, forms and materials interpret water in its various states, from patterned glass to the water curtain in the entrance hall.

With open terraces facing the ocean and a column-free space that rises more than 30 meters, the building invites contemplation and sensory experience.

Technology and architecture merge to transform the landscape into art, offering a space where culture and nature intertwine.
