SABATER HOUSE

FRAN SILVESTRE ARQUITECTOS

Casa Sabater, designed by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos, is a striking zigzag-shaped residence set on the steep hillsides of Alicante, Spain. Spanning 780 m², the project stands out for its bold architecture and seamless integration with the surrounding mountainous landscape.

The house is composed of three distinct volumes that interconnect fluidly, creating a unique spatial experience. The first volume, located at the highest point of the hill, appears to float in the air, offering breathtaking panoramic views. The second volume is firmly anchored to the ground level, providing a stable and solid base. Lastly, the third volume is partially embedded into the terrain, forming a walkable surface that opens up to the natural surroundings.

The geometry of the house follows the slope of the hillside in harmony, resulting in a visual dynamic that impressively combines aesthetics and functionality. A swimming pool, strategically positioned at one end of the linear volume, complements the design by offering a leisure space that blends perfectly into the natural setting.
