GUEST HOUSE WITH GARDEN
KFA ARKITEKTER
Used as a subterfuge for small works that do not require construction permits, the Attefallshus typology in Sweden consists of small independent buildings within residential properties. These are generally intended for functions such as guest houses, home offices, garden pavilions, or even for rental.
Designed by KFA Arkitekter office in Gothenburg, this 30m² house adapts to the site's topography, integrating harmoniously with local rocks and creating a private garden. Although compact, the construction is efficient and functional, offering two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living room, and a mezzanine, with minimal interference in the original environment.
Beyond its simple and elegant aesthetics, the work stands out for its use of natural materials and sustainable low-impact solutions, such as the raw pine facade, oak windows, and interiors predominantly in pine. This project reflects not only a practical and creative solution but also a commitment to the environment, aligning engineering with sustainability to ensure minimal impact on the local ecosystem.
